Fall is definitely in the air. Hot, sticky summer days have given way to cool breezes and overcast mornings. There's a crisp chill in the evenings, and the smell of roasting green chile and changing leaves in the wind. But every once, in awhile I catch a brief hint of summer as it wafts up and tickles my nose.

I have a zillion bottles and wands and lotions of delicious smelling perfumes I've bought over time. Light summery scents, deep wintery scents. Flowery, herbal, flirty and all fabulous. But my very favorite perfume was a freebie with purchase. The bottle is small and smooth. It fits in my hand perfectly. The edges are rounded and soft. It feels feminine. The scent is light. It's a mixture of something floral, something fruity and something a little darker, a little sexier. Vanilla maybe? And like the bottle, the smell is rounded and soft, and feels decidedly feminine without being too girly. I wear it almost all the time. On fun girls' outings, when I haven't showered, on date night with the Mr., taking the kiddo to school. It makes me feel put together. I would even say it's become my signature scent.

So when I lean in and give you a hug, and you suddenly catch a brief whiff of summer...it's me.
