Hers, Mine and Ours: A Maternity Series a Decade in the Making
A million and a half years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth...OK, like when I was in my 20s, but it might as well be the same thing, my best friend (since high school!) and I had a plan to do a three-trimester maternity series. It was something I wanted to try and something she was so excited about, that long after I'd forgotten about it, she held on to the idea waiting for her baby to come along so we could do it. Fast forward through our weddings - we were maids of honor for one another - my two kids, and lots and lots of work, she was finally having the baby she longed for. So, the plan was a go...with the small hiccups of her living in Sacramento, Calif., and me not being very mobile with two little kids. We worked out the logistics and created a very personal, very special series of maternity nudes (you can't see those) and not nudes that tells the story of this baby from beginning to birth. Baby is due any day ... I can't wait to meet him or her.

:-) And when they're next to each other I can see why my mom didn't think I'd gotten any bigger the third trip until she hugged me and had to bend to do so.
